Comparing Documentary Voice in Meru and Free Solo

This essay compares the documentary filmic voices of a married couple in the climbing documentaries Meru (2015) and Free Solo (2018). Exploring the production process and how the two work together with their individual filmic voices, this paper demonstrates how both documentaries are unique in their own ways despite coming from a similar topic and the same couple.
