Visions 8 Badges

The 8th Annual Visions Film Festival & Conference is excited to announce that badge registration is now open! Organized by undergraduate students for undergraduate students, Visions celebrates young filmmakers and scholars from around the world. The Visions 8 All-Access Badge allows entry to a full day of screenings, panels, and networking events with our Visionary panelists and attendees, as well as the opportunity to participate in the exciting Video Race challenge! The event will take place on April 5th & 6th, 2018, at UNCW's own Lumina Theater, so be sure to get your online badge today! Alternatively, you may purchase badges and individual tickets at Sharky’s Game Room, located in UNCW’s Fisher Student Center.

Online Badges are now Sold Out!

If you are looking to pick up your last minute badge you can head to Sharky's Game Room in the Fisher Student Center on the UNCW Campus. All badges are $15 till April 5th when their price will increase to $20. Grab your badge now before they're all gone!

Why purchase a badge?

  1. Two Film Blocks: Featuring a daring, delightful, and diverse range of narrative, documentary, animation, and experimental films made by undergraduates from film programs from around the world.

  2. Conference Block: Four young, professional scholars challenge the audience with their in-depth analysis of film and discuss topics important to film studies in an inquisitive environment.

  3. Keynote Address: Badge holders get the chance to hear from an established filmmaker as they share their journey to success.

  4. Visionary Panel: Seven film professionals share anecdotes from their careers, offer advice to attendees, and take questions from the audience regarding a range of topics including film production, graduate school, film scholarship, fundraising, internships, first jobs, interviews, and more.

  5. Video Race: Twenty teams square off in a one-hour, one-take filmmaking challenge! No experience required. The Video Race is the perfect opportunity for networking and building community — all while having a heck of a good time!

  6. Breakfast and Dessert Receptions: Mingle with visiting VIP guests and socialize with students and faculty from international undergraduate film programs, while enjoying free refreshments!

  7. After Party: Closing it all out with a bang, the Visions After Party provides a night of music, awards, free snacks, photo booth pictures, great people, and lots of fun in downtown Wilmington, NC.

EARLY: $10 (February 12th - March 22nd)

REGULAR: $15 (March 23rd - April 5th)

DAY OF: $20 (April 6th)

Mark your calendar and purchase your badge early for even greater value! If you’ve purchased your badge online, you will be able to pick it up at the registration table on the day of the event by providing proof of purchase such as a confirmation email or receipt.

While supplies last, you may also purchase individual tickets ($8) for any of our film or conference blocks, Keynote Address, Visionary Filmmaker Panel, or the Visions 8 Video Race. A valid I.D. is required for badge pickup; all badges are non-transferable and non-refundable.
