Wilmington, NC (March 25, 2016) - In its sixth year, Visions Film Festival & Conference is dedicated to celebrating the success of past alumni both regionally and nationally. This year, Visions has selected Jaclyn Gramigna to deliver the keynote address at our event on April 15, 2016 in UNCW’s Lumina Theater. In 2011, Gramigna won our first and highest honor, the Visionary Award, to ever be presented at Visions for her film Infallible.

Just three short years after graduation, her short film Downtown (2013) was selected for the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival, and she was featured on Miramax’s blog “Emerging Filmmaker’s to Watch.” Her accolades don’t stop there. Gramigna has written, directed, and produced eight short films, featured in a variety of film festivals including: Gasparilla International Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Northside Film Festival, and the Brooklyn Short Film Festival. Her talent for directing transfers to the theatre, winning her first place in Take Ten 1 Act Festival (2013) and the New York New Works Theatre Festival (2014). She is the founder and director of Whippersnapper Films, as well as an official creator of X-Factor Films - a platform and studio for “badass women,” and currently has three projects on the festival circuit.

Working in New York City, continually selected for film festivals around the world, and eager to share the challenges of transitioning from student to professional, Jaclyn Gramigna is sure to deliver a keynote speech that starts Visions Film Festival & Conference off with a bang.
